West Pikeland Land Trust
Preserves 60+ Acres
The West Pikeland Land Trust (WPLT)
and West Pikeland Township preserved 61 acres during the first half of
2009 through purchased conservation easements on three major West
Pikeland properties. In addition to protecting the properties from
future subdivision and development, the easements provide recreational
opportunities through public trail access, and protect scenic views,
historic settings, clean water, agricultural lands, and wildlife
habitat.

2009 - 17+ Acres
in West Pikeland Township to be Preserved
The West Pikeland Land
Trust announced that West Pikeland Township will participate in the
purchase of a conservation easement on 17.1 acres on Pikeland Road in
West Pikeland. The easement purchase is made possible by the Township’s
open space preservation fund and a matching grant from Chester County.

launched it's annual fundraising appeal in November. This year, WPLT is
offering special gifts featuring images of West Pikeland scenery by
professional photographer and local resident Bill Richmond.

Pipeline Project
West Pikeland Land Trust establishes new
section of its website dedicated to providing West Pikeland residents
with updated information on the Chester County natural gas pipeline
proposals, especially the Dominion Keystone Project which may impact
residents and landowners in West Pikeland township.
